Some of Lad's tricks 2010. Includes digging, hiding, bowing, weaving, jumping, putting his washing in the basket and many more! All taught using 'bridges' and 'targets' with toys, food and verbal praise.
After watching the last video I wasn't happy, so I tried a different method. Lad targets his nose to the box and his hip to my hand. I then ask him to stand on his back legs while keeping the position. Once he has the hang of this, I take the box away and get him to target his nose forward, add the word 'way', then ask him to stand up again.
My collie stands on his back legs whilst facing away from me. This video has made me realise I need to throw the food with my left hand to get him straighter.

Transfering the paw from the fist to the flat hand.
You can see here that when I hold the food between my fingers Frazz looks blank showing he's not ready to progress yet. When I change back to the fist he realises what I want.
